PST Summer Soul Series at 330 Ritch

If you have nothing better to do on a Tuesday night, Pacific Standard Time at 330 Ritch is the place to be. I’ll be there tonight ringing in my birthday, so come on by for some good music by San Francisco’s very own DJ Sake One, who will be presenting a special tribute to George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic!

PST’s Summer of Love continues in full flare, with a special 4-hour set from PST resident DJ Sake One that will feature a tribute mix to Parliament Funkadelic!!
Parliament Funkadelic (or “P-Funk” for short) was perhaps the most influential musical conglomerate of the 1970s and 80s. Boasting an all-star assortment of musicians — from George Clinton to Bernie Worrell to Bootsie Collins — they kept raw funk alive through the disco era and were a major influence on the formation of hip-hop and house music.
The West Coast in particular can trace its diverse musical legacy to the P Funkateers — groups as diverse as NWA, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Digital Underground all list Parliament Funkadelic as a major influence. And who better to present a tribute set than PST and Sake One!!!!
For FREE ADMISSION BEFORE 11pm, please email your name (one name per email only, please) to: pacificstandardtime@hotmail.com by 5pm on Tuesday evening!!
